We handcraft premium heirloom desks and dining tables from solid North American wood. Every piece is commissioned to your exact dimensions, hand-signed. Serving Squamish to Chilliwack.
Every piece, numbered
Never MDF or veneer
We place it ourselves
Most “wood” furniture today is particleboard wrapped in paper-thin veneer. It looks fine for three years, then falls apart. We build pieces meant to be passed down.
No MDF. No veneer. No particleboard. Every piece is built from solid North American wood boards — softwood or hardwood, your choice.
Thicker tops, stronger bases, better hardware. Built to be used hard for decades, not just look good in a showroom for a year.
Every piece is designed for the exact room it will live in. Your space, your chairs, your people — measured to the millimetre.
We don't hand your finished table to a freight company. We load it, drive it, and place it in your home — from Squamish to Chilliwack.
Every piece is made to order. Fully customizable in dimensions, wood species, and finish. Desks start at $2,000. Dining tables start at $4,000.
CraftyTables began with a simple conviction: that the furniture in your home should be worth keeping.
After watching friend after friend spend real money on “wood” furniture that cracked, warped, and fell apart within a few years, we founded a workshop dedicated to the opposite principle. Every piece we build is made from solid Canadian wood — softwood or hardwood, your choice — never MDF, never veneer, never particleboard.
We are a small workshop. That's intentional. The person who builds your piece is the same person who answers your first email, measures your room, and places the finished table in your home.
Our process takes five stages and typically 8–14 weeks. We send detailed updates at every step.
We talk through your space, needs, budget, and style. You share photos and measurements. We give honest advice.
You receive a detailed drawing, exact dimensions, wood selection, finish options, and a firm price in writing.
We pick the boards together. You approve every board before milling. (Available in-person or by photos.)
Your piece is built board by board. We send progress photos at key milestones. Final finish is applied by hand.
We load, drive, and place the piece ourselves. We don't leave until you love it.
We work in six solid North American species — four hardwoods, two softwoods. We can source others by request.
A commission is an act of trust. These four promises remove the risk — all of them are written into your quote.
If you're not happy with the finished piece, contact us within 30 days. We'll work with you until you are. (See full terms.)
The price we quote is the price you pay. Materials, labour, finish, delivery — all included. No change orders.
If we miss the agreed delivery date, we discount 5% off the final price for every week we're late.
Solid wood asks very little of you — and rewards what it gets. Every delivery includes a printed care card.
Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid silicone-based sprays. Use coasters. Clean spills immediately.
Oil once or twice a year with a food-safe mineral oil or beeswax finish. The wood will get better with age.
Always lift, never drag. Protect corners during any move. Disassemble legs if possible for large pieces.
Solid wood expands and contracts with humidity. Keep humidity between 35–55% RH for best results. This is normal — not a flaw.
Tell us what you're imagining. We respond to every inquiry within one business day, and a detailed written quote follows within three.
